Musicology is Prince's 28th studio album. Throughout the 90s, Prince became notorious for refusing to play his hits during his concerts, while sometimes starting his shows at 2 a.m. or later. However, in 2004, he opened up the Grammy Awards with a medley of "Purple Rain," "Baby I'm A Star" and "Let's Go Crazy" with Beyonce before announcing he'd be embarking on a US tour. A return to form, Prince would instead play re-worked or re-imagined versions of his hits, spawning a widely successful tour and album release.
